Infini Microneedling Device
Infini Microneedling is a breakthrough treatment that delivers radiofrequency energy through a microneedling process. By stimulating an increase in collagen production, this non-invasive treatment effectively tightens the skin and provides overall skin rejuvenation. Infini Microneedling can also be used as a spot treatment for a variety of skin concerns including acne scars, stretch marks, fine lines, and wrinkles.
What it treats
Infini Microneedling can be used to treat a wide variety of skin problems and age-related complaints. We most commonly use it to:
- Minimize acne scars
- Soften fine lines and wrinkles
- Tighten loose skin
- Improve skin elasticity
- Correct uneven skin tone and texture
How it works
An Infini Microneedling treatment is very quick, lasting less than 20 minutes in most cases. Dr. Ringpfeil begins the treatment by applying a topical numbing cream to ensure the patient’s comfort. Then she gently pinches the skin and positions the device above the targeted area. The needles quickly penetrate the skin and release radiofrequency (RF) energy. She continues moving the device across the skin until the entire area has been treated.
The Infini Microneedling applicator contains many tiny needles that are used to transmit RF energy directly into the patient’s dermis. These micro-injuries then stimulate the body’s natural healing response and increase the production of collagen in the area. In addition, RF energy heats the skin to a specific temperature that causes contracture of the dermis and an increase in collagen production. Because the RF energy is delivered into the deeper layers skin, there is no risk of injuring the top layers of the skin, which can occur when RF energy is delivered through the skin’s surface.

Recovery
After the treatment, patients can resume normal activities immediately. There may be a slight reddening of the skin and some swelling, which many patients describe as being similar to a sunburn. Some patients will also experience a small amount of bruising that appears a few days later. Side effects will diminish on their own and makeup can be applied after 24 hours to conceal any lingering redness or bruising.
Results
The results of Infini Microneedling are revealed gradually over the coming weeks and months. Most patients have noticeably tighter skin within 2 – 4 weeks of treatment. As collagen production increases and healing occurs, the skin will appear firmer and more youthful. Targeted concerns, such as scars and wrinkles, become less noticeable over time. Up to four treatment sessions, spaced at monthly intervals, may be required to achieve an optimal result.
Candidates
Candidates for Infini Microneedling are those who want to treat specific skin problems or desire overall skin tightening and rejuvenation. Unlike other skin treatments, Infini Microneedling can be safely used on people with darker skin because there is no risk of hyperpigmentation with this treatment.

March 8, 2024 at 7:02 PMWhat is the cost for just forehead & eye area?
What is the cost for just the neck?
Is it safe to combine this with a Botox injection at the same time / in the same area? If not, what order & schedule do you recommend?
Franziska Ringpfeil says:
March 8, 2024 at 11:12 PMFractionated radiofrequency aka microneedling RF can be used in small areas such as for malar festoons below the lower lids or for crows feet. We currently charge $250 per treatment for these small areas and most people will need 3 treatments. Treatment of the neck is $700 per treatment and most will need 2-3 treatments.
Treatment of only the forehead is reasonable only with a lot of sun damage or very fine lines. Treatment is $300 per treatment for the forehead and it can take 4 treatments to significant sun damage. Otherwise full face treatment is the better choice. Evaluation is always needed to find the best technology to achieve your goals.
Botulinum toxin should not be placed on the same day. It can safely be administered the day before or 1 week after when the inflammation has subsided.
Sarah from Philadelphia says:
July 18, 2023 at 3:17 AMDo you use SkinPen for microneedling now? Or, is it still just Infiniti? If so, how much is the treatment per session?
Franziska Ringpfeil says:
March 11, 2024 at 1:31 AMSome of our aestheticians use the SkinPen for microneedling when short term results with minor downtime are desired or when fractionated radiofrequency/microneedling RF are contra-indicated.

March 26, 2019 at 3:57 PMI had both profound and rf Genius (the new Infiniti) for under the chin and neck tightening to end up worse off. I now have “necklaces” around my neck that did not exist before these treatments, grid marks and no laxity. This guy completely destroyed my neck. Is there any procedure to remedy this? i’m so upset..I would have never done this if i were told about perm grid marks and any risk of my situation worsening. It’s been over a month since the Genius treatment and no improvement at all. Was told I need to wait 9 months which is not true. I waited 9 months for nothing after the initial Profound treatment when I knew it was not going to improve for him to tell me this Genius will DEFINITELY improve within 9 months. Nothing I read says anything about a 9 month wait, rather, I read if there’s no noted improvement in 2-4 weeks, it most likely WON’T. Anything you have to help damage from RF treatment? Have you seen this? I’d appreciate the help/feedback. Thank you.
Franziska Ringpfeil MD. says:
April 2, 2019 at 8:34 PMWhile we do not offer Profound or Genius, I have no personal experience with worsenig laxity of skin after fractionated radiofrequency treatment and am surprised to hear about yours. Grid marks can occur with Infini and Genius and are temporary. Resolution can be sped up picosecond laser treatment, microdermabrasion and fading agents.
Collagen production starts to be noticeably 3 months after treatment and increases up to 6 months after treatment. It appears that you waited sufficiently for 9 months after Profound. Without examination, personal advise is impossible. I would be happy to see you in consultation to provide my advise. Please bring photos from before treatment.

March 6, 2019 at 9:42 PMHello – will you be getting the infini machine in the Philadelphia office at some point? I want to get this procedure but live in the city. Thanks.

April 2, 2019 at 9:16 PMAs of one week ago, Infini is available in our Center City office.

January 30, 2018 at 12:42 AMHi in your opinion which treatment Activefx or infini rf do you see better results for rolling acne scars on cheeks? Thanks
Franziska Ringpfeil MD. says:
February 26, 2018 at 5:11 AMSmaller rolling scars will do great with Infini but also improve with DeepFx. Larger ones are best treated by subcision.

September 1, 2017 at 9:56 AMHow much is a microneedling treatment ?

Franziska Ringpfeil MD. says:
September 8, 2017 at 5:37 PMMicroneedling is offered a variety of spas. Our office does not provide this service. The only time we use microneedles is as part of Infini treatment, which is fractionated radiofrequency for skin tightening and scar treatment.
Cathryn from Philadelphia says:
July 25, 2017 at 4:56 AMThinking about cool sculpt but what happens to the extra skin?
I am almost 75, but my knees have gotten kind of saggy and I am wondering if cool sculpting would be helpful. At 5’6″ I weigh under 110, so weight is really not the issue.
I bruise easily, and wonder about recovery time, as well.
Franziska Ringpfeil MD. says:
August 10, 2017 at 5:01 AMNeither Coolsculpt nor SculpSure are perfect for skin tightening after loss of adipose cells. You might consider Precision TX for skin tightening which is considered minimally invasive. We will soon expect to see some non-invasive technology on the market. There is nothing that works reliably yet.
Cindy from Philadelphia says:
July 5, 2017 at 1:43 PMCost for one face treatment?
Franziska Ringpfeil MD. says:
July 5, 2017 at 7:26 PMInfini for skin rejuvenation is $1200 for the entire face./ We usually recommend 2-4 treatments for best results.
Jane from Philadelphia says:
February 3, 2017 at 12:43 AMIs this procedure safe for Asian skin?
Franziska Ringpfeil MD. says:
February 3, 2017 at 1:03 AMInfini is safe for all skin colors including Asian skin. Nonetheless, we use pre-treatment with a fading agent, arbutin, for 4 weeks before treatment in everyone who has a Mediterranean, Middle Eastern and Asian heritage.
