Integrative Dermatology

Dr. Abraham offers comprehensive Integrative dermatology consultations where she combines traditional dermatology with complementary and alternative approaches to address skin issues. Integrative dermatologists consider the whole person, not just the skin condition. The field of integrative dermatology recognizes the interrelation of various factors, including lifestyle, diet, stress, and environmental influences, in contributing to skin health.

Some Aspects of What Integrative Dermatology Might Focus On

  • Holistic Approach
Dr. Abraham will look at lifestyle factors such as your diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management to identify potential contributors to skin problems.

  • Nutrition and Lifestyle Counseling
Dr. Abraham guides nutrition and lifestyle changes that may positively impact your skin health. She may recommend specific diets or supplements to support skin function.

  • Mind-Body Connection
Stress and mental health can significantly impact the skin. Dr. Abraham may explore mind-body practices, such as meditation, yoga, or other stress-reducing techniques, to complement traditional treatments.

  • Alternative Therapies
She may incorporate complementary and alternative therapies, such as acupuncture or herbal remedies, in conjunction with conventional dermatological treatments.

  • Preventive Strategies
She will emphasize preventive measures to maintain overall skin health, including sun protection, proper skincare routines, and lifestyle modifications.

  • Patient Education Dr. Abraham will highlight patient education, empowering you to take an active role in managing your skin health through informed lifestyle choices.

Integrative dermatology is a relatively new and evolving field, and not all dermatologists may follow this approach. While some of us incorporate aspects of the goals above, Dr. Abraham has undergone rigorous training and has been certified as an integrative dermatologist.

How Much Does Integrative Dermatology Cost?

Bravo!! I am very impressed with the doctor, staff, facility, everything right down to the current magazines available in the reception room(that I didn't even get to read!). I can highly recommend you with trust and confidence.

Dr. Ringpfeil is extremely professional and thorough. I appreciated her manner and knowledge and will definately refer her to friends and family.

#32026-05-22

Didn't have to wait long to see to get into the room, or for the doctor to come in. The doctor & medical assistant took the time to explain the medications, when I should take them, how much I should use and what they would do to my skin.

Everything was great thanks!

#72011-02-25 11:46:15

While I totally understand the late policy, unfortunately my daughter and I drove 1.5 hrs to the facility and given the weather and errorous directions, we ended up being 7 mins late. I immediately called the office while on route to explain that we were lost and sought correct directions. The receptionist was very curt, short and condesending. Upon our arrival, there was no warm greeting and very limited eye contact. Again,as a heath care provider myself, I appreciate the need to follow a schedule, however, our appointments were in direct succession and I do not think it would have had a significant impact on the work schedule, given our special circumstance.

#82011-03-24 10:10:11

#92026-02-28
