Sculptra
Collagen is deposited around a backbone of polylactic acid that is injected in areas of volume loss and remains for a minimum of 2 years. This treatment is not for someone who desires immediate results.
Expected Results:
Volume correction on the lower and mid face, elimination of intermediate and deep lines.
Preparations:
Avoidance of aspirin and ibuprofen for 10 days. Topical anesthetic is applied in the office prior to the procedure.
Post treatment instructions:
Avoidance of aspirin or ibuprofen for 3 days.
Time to desired results:
2-4 injections are usually necessary to achieve desired results spaced 4-6 weeks apart.
Duration of desired effects:
2 years or longer.
Contraindications:
Allergy to polylactic acid (extremely rare)
Downtime:
1-2 days of swelling, up to 7 days for bruising (may be covered easily).

The office ambiance is exceptional! Since I am a musician, I really enjoyed the soothing, classical music playing softly in the background. The fresh flowers also add a nice touch. I was extremely impressed by the cleanliness of the facilities and the professional and thorough treatment I received by Dr. Ringpfeil. The technological efficiency of the office was also very impressive!

#22010-09-30 09:51:55I'm speechless!! I make a living at answering this very question but I can't recommend anything you can do to provide better service. You deserve a high score in all aspects of the practice. One minor detail - I have not yet seen the aesthetician and I have limited experience with you. Maybe patients could complete a survey after they've had a couple of appointments and contact with others. Some valuable feedback may be provided. Oops....I just heard an administrator use the word "cancellation" with a patient. May I suggest other terms like "change in the schedule" or "we'll make time for you". Wouldn't want to give patients the idea that it's ok to cancel. :-) Can you recommend a vascular specialist closer to the area than in Center City?

What is the cost if sculptra?
Sculptra is an excellent product for facial volumization. However, in our practice, we have now replaced it with fillers that provide equal results and afford less downtime (bruising) and faster correction.
