Glycolic Acid Peel

Overview:

Poly glycolic acids are derived from fruit acids and deliver a superficial peel. They effectively exfoliate and hydrate the skin.

Expected Results:

Diminished acne activity, rejuvenation, even skin pigmentation and skin tone, reduction of very fine lines and very superficial scars.

Time to desired results:

Smooth texture of the skin is noted the day after your first peel but full effects are most obvious after a series of 3-6 peels, spaced 3-4 weeks apart.

Lasting results:

Severalmonths.

Downtime:

Mild redness for several hours (you should be able to return to work immediately)

Preparation:

The effects of glycolic acid peels and the efficiency of the peel can be potentiated by starting glycolic acid products and retinoids as part of a rigorous skin care regimen for at least 2 weeks prior to your first chemical peel. The night before, however, any retinoid must be stopped and may be resumed the night after the peel. The morning of the peel, there is no necessity to apply any medicinal product other than your daily sunscreen.

Post treatment instructions:

The day of the peel, apply a gentle moisturizer (with sunscreen if sun-exposed area was treated) to the treated area several times; resume your daily skin care regimen the day after the peel.

Contraindications:

History of phenol peels, isotretinoin (Accutane) in the past six months.

The restroom could be cleaner.

#52011-01-19 08:56:51

Complain to the insurance industry that they cove too little, complain to the product manufactures that they truely charge too much for the products. I feel that the industry in general is very slow to treat because of insurance allowances. Patients have busy work schedules and pay for monthly coverage that covers too little. In one hour or less could do what multiple appointments do to remove or treat small skin defects require many visits. Should provide payment better incentives.

#62010-11-10 12:28:11

Nothing, my visit was great.

#72025-09-22

I couldn't find any parking.

#82026-01-03

#92026-04-30

Less wait time for an appointment.
