Dr. Ringpfeil's medical career began in Germany where she graduated from medical school and started training in dermatology. In 1990, she was invited by the chairman of dermatology at Thomas Jefferson University to join his department. After completing residency and receiving board certification, she joined the faculty at Jefferson, specializing in cosmetic and pediatric dermatology.
She has authored numerous scientific papers in major professional journals, authored and co-authored several chapters in the leading textbooks for dermatology, and has lectured both nationally and internationally.
She received the Young Investigator Award by the American Academy of Dermatology, as well as an award by the AOA honor society for outstanding teaching faculty.
She serves as a vice chair for the Dermatology Foundation, the nation's leading supporter for dermatologic research. In addition, she volunteers her time at Camp Discovery, a camp for children with the most severe skin diseases.
Jill has been an aesthetician in dermatology since 1997 and has been working with lasers since she first started her career. She is very passionate about her job and has much compassion for her patients and their diagnosis. She finds it very rewarding when patients are pleased with their results. Jill is the mother of two small children that keep her very busy on her days off.
Leah is the most experienced medical assistant at Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology. She will use the utmost care when removing your sutures or bandaging your wound. If Leah's not taking care of patients at the office, she's probably scaling walls at the climbing gym or tutoring local high schoolers in chemistry and biology. If she has more than a few days off work, you'll be hard pressed to find this girl, as she might be scuba diving in the Bahamas, skydiving in New Zealand, or island hopping in Greece.
Pat has been a receptionist at Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology since the practice opened in October 2006. She has a husband of forty years, three children, six grandchildren, and a beagle named Stitch. She enjoys meeting new patients and greeting old ones. Her efficiency and calm demeanor keep things running smoothly no matter how busy the office becomes.
Andrea is one of our most talented medical assistants, and the newest member of the Ringpfeil Advanced Dermatology crew. You might recognize her as the lovely voice on your answering machine reminding you of your next appointment with us. When Andrea's not in the office, you might be able to find her sitting in a coffee shop downtown studying for upcoming anatomy exams, or racing through the city in preparation for the 2008 Broad Street Run.
