We live in an exciting time where the variety of fillers and volumizers allows the safe and effective correction of volume loss and wrinkles over the entire face. Bovine collagen, for decades the only available injectable agent, has now been largely replaced by other, mostly synthetic compounds that have a variable live span and indication. Because its filler component is collagen-based, it needs a skin test one month prior to injection.
